• High Nostril – this is a piercing on the upper part of the nostril or the fleshy side of the nose. Jewelry for a high nostril piercing is usually a stud or nose screws.

 

• Septum – Another stylish location, the septum is the bottom part of the nose between the right and left nostril. Despite how it looks, the piercing does not go through the cartilage but sits below the nose cartilage and the bottom of the nostril. Works well with a curved barbell or hoop. 

 

• Bridge – bridge piercings don’t go through the bone or cartilage. They work well with a curved barbell or circular barbell. 

 

• Vertical Tip piercings are very rare – it involves a piercing that goes through the tip of the nose vertically and can only be done with a curved barbell. 

 

• Nasallang – this is a more complex style of piercing that goes through three points – both nostrils and the septum and has the appearance of a straight barbell right through the entire nose.

 

• Septril Piercing – this is also more complicated and requires an expert piercer to find the correct placement. The technique fuses a half vertical tip piercing with a septum piercing.
