Body Piercings That You Can Hide

BY SAGETATTOOGALLERY | UNCATEGORIZED

Body piercings are becoming increasingly popular, but there are still certain situations where showing off your body jewelry can be inappropriate or unwelcome. They might hold you back in school, at work, or when you play sports. If you want to get a piercing but you’re worried about the repercussions then here is our list of recommended body piercings that you can hide easily.

Septum Piercing

Septum piercings might not seem like a good option at first, since this piercing will go through the cartilage between your nostrils and be smack dab in the middle of your face. They are hard to miss, but they do look great. Unfortunately, a septum isn’t always the most appropriate look when you are at school or at work. Plus, when you get a septum piercing the healing time can take about 6 to 8 weeks to heal, meaning you won’t be able to take it out for a while.

However, the good news is that you can actually hide this piercing completely. All you will need to do is flip the piercing up into your nose when you want to hide it and no one will be able to know that you ever had one if you don’t want them to.

Frenulum Piercing

The frenulum, or tongue web, is the piece of tissue connecting your tongue to your mouth and is located right underneath the tongue. This piercing can take a minute to get used to since you will have something underneath your tongue at all times. However, a frenulum piercing is a great option if you are looking for a body piercing that you can hide easily.

The best part is you don’t need to put a lot of effort into hiding it and it can stay hidden unless you want to show it off. Plus, if you keep the jewelry as small as possible, it will make it even easier to hide and it won’t make you feel as uncomfortable. You can decide if you want to make your frenulum piercing visible or not. Thankfully, frenulum pieces have a quick healing process and will fully heal within no time.

Belly Button Piercing

A belly button piercing is one of the easiest piercings to hide, especially if you tend to wear clothes that don’t show off your belly. A belly piercing will pass through the rim of your navel, typically on the top ridge. But it can also be done anywhere around the navel. It can be pierced wherever you find a fold or ‘lip’ around the outside of your navel.

If you wear loose clothing you can definitely easily hide the bump that is formed around the jewelry so it can’t be seen by prying eyes. It’s great because no one will know that it’s there and you can wear different clothing to show it off if you feel like you are in the mood for it.

Nipple Piercing

Like the navel piercing, a nipple piercing can be easily covered since typically no one runs their errands or goes to work, shirtless. This is a type of piercing that is usually reserved for you and your partner. This can make them one of the more exciting piercings. Nipple piercings can be easily hidden by wearing a bra, hoodie or jacket. You can simply just bundle up.

Additionally, many people prefer to show off the silhouette of their nipple piercing by not wearing any undergarments. It can certainly be a statement look, that you might not want to make in a professional setting. But you will definitely be able to make a splash at the next social scene you visit.

Dermal Piercings

Dermal piercings are a great piercing to go with since they allow you to be the most creative with their placement. Not only will you be able to pick your jewelry, but you will also be able to choose exactly where the piercing will go and how many you want to get. If you don’t think you can get away with having an obvious piercing at school or at work, then you can choose a place on your body that is inconspicuous or somewhere that can be easily hidden underneath your clothing.

For instance, you can choose the nape of the neck, a hidden spot on your collarbone or chest, on your hips, your lower back, or somewhere on your wrists. There are many different places to choose from, the options are pretty much endless. If your placement is really unique, we always recommend that you speak with your piercer to make sure that you are able to get one where you want it.

We hope that this guide has helped you in deciding where you want to get your next piercing. We always recommend that you check with your work, school, or sports before you get a piercing to make sure that you can keep it. In general, the original jewelry that you get pierced with will need to stay in the piercing for at least 2 months, and in some cases even longer so it’s important to keep that in mind.
