At Sage, we strive to create an environment that anyone can walk into and feel welcome, comfortable, and confident that they will leave with a beautiful piece of fine art that they will love.

After traveling all over Canada and the USA to appear as a guest artist and compete at world renowned conventions, Jordan decided it was time to come back home to Ottawa and bring the best values and practices he learned from his travels to create a studio of his own.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to impact the tattoo and piercing industry by helping tattoo artists and piercers create fulfilling careers and achieve personal, professional, and financial success.

10 Year Vision

To make an impact on the tattoo industry and to be home to some of the world’s leading producers of tattoos, fine-art and piercings.

Core Values

Creativity

For artists it may seem self-explanatory, but at Sage it’s important in everything we do as a company. We define this as “innovative, problem-solving, adaptable and flexible as to how problems are solved.”

Excellence

Excellence is striving to do more and be great even if that means making errors along the way. Great execution is certainly paramount, but when a person is learning, growing and evolving, mistakes will be made. The effort, will and desire to learn is excellence.

Collaboration

Listening and evolving together, helping and supporting each other for the sake of a collective goal

Aligned

We only hire growth-oriented people. Sage can’t grow if our team members aren’t serious about their own personal, professional, and financial growth. When we’re all in alignment about goals, opportunities, and areas of improvement, we can all win. Our teams, our clients, our entire organization is poised to win when we approach our business with an aligned mindset.

Ownership

Taking ownership is being responsible for your success and outcome and not blaming others for failure or falling short. Taking ownership is about driving execution and not assuming that it will get done by someone else.

We take ownership over the company and its goals as a whole, because we know that they align with our personal and professional goals—if we as a team, as a company, succeed, then YOU succeed.

Results-Oriented

At the end of the day, we are a business. We are expected to produce results. Nobody wants to hear “Well at least I tried my best and that’s what matters” after getting a tattoo, and I sure don’t want to hear that for anything throughout the rest of the team.
